Struggling with isolation, sadness, or anxiety? Want to become empowered to tackle your concerns head on? I'd love to work with you. I tend to see teenagers, young adults and adults across different cultures and orientations. My recent work has been in the LGBTQ+ population and with grief. I love working with both clients new to counseling in addition to those experienced. I aid my clients in setting realistic goals we can achieve together. My approach is tailored to your individual personality and past experiences. I enjoy helping clients struggling with depression, anxiety, a trauma history, relational difficulties, and more.
I focus my studies on aspects of emotional, sexual, and cognitive development, attachment, and grief work. I incorporate inner-child and expressive arts with clients of all ages. My training focuses on modern psychodynamics, CBT, with DBT and parenting. I enjoy educating clients regarding their strengths and encourage them to find their own answers.
Many younger clients find it easier to relate to me due to my age and personality. In session, I am very laid back and honest. Humor is a tool I use often; laughter is sometimes the best medicine. I am tech savvy, so I sometimes incorporate that into treatment. Counseling is a place to try new things and make mistakes; it's all part of the journey.
