Hello and welcome to Courageous Healing, PLLC! My name is Lizzie (she/her/hers) and I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker worker (LICSW). Engaging in therapy takes strength, bravery, and courage. My therapeutic approach is guided through relational and person-centered practices, which involve seeing clients as complex, intricate people rather than diagnoses or “problems.” My intention as a therapist is to ensure my clients feel seen, heard, and understood, all of which I believe are of the utmost importance to healing.
I offer in-person and telehealth therapy services for kids, teens, and families. I work with clients ages 3 to 18. I specialize in anxiety, depression, neurological disorders, school stress, suicidal ideation, identity formation, gender/sexuality explorations, trauma and stress-related disorders, and conflicts within families.
My experience has equipped me to work with clients who come from marginalized backgrounds, especially youth and families who are low-income, racial minorities, LGBTQIA+, homeless, those who are disabled or struggle with chronic illnesses, and those who have faced structural, familial, and/or environmental trauma.
