I truly believe that therapy works best when there is a strong and trusting relationship between client and therapist. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe in unconditional positive regard for all of my clients. As well as compassion at all times. I will always view you holistically and not as a diagnosis. I have been serving the LGBTQ+ for 30 years. I believe that everyone is on their own journey, and I will walk on that journey with you, and see, hear, and believe you. Together, we will work to accomplish your goals for therapy.
The majority of my career was spent as a staff therapist at Philadelphia’s only exclusively LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness agency. I also identify as a member of the community. No one should have to educate their therapist about sexual orientation or gender identity, or Poly, or Kink, and that will not be the case with me.
I do understand that finding a therapist is a lot like dating, in that chemistry is incredibly important. Therefore, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation, so that you can get a sense for whether you feel we might work well together. As well as ask me any questions you might have. NEW AND EXCITING SUPPORT GROUP! Beginning on November 1st, I will be facilitating a drop in support group, that focuses on Coming Out. This group is open to anyone identifying as LGBTQ+, and 18 yrs old & above. Folks may attend weekly, or whenever they want. Obviously, one doesn’t jus5 come out once in life, so this group will cover Coming Out to different folks in different arenas of one’s life. We hope you’ll come join us on a Wednesday evening. Members must contact me via email or phone to register.
