An oppressive family environment can impact your ability to know who you are. As a result, setting boundaries with others can be difficult. Choosing safe people can feel almost impossible. You may constantly wonder what is normal in a relationship. I try to help my clients understand who they are and develop the ability to make choices in line with their own values.

Many clients are often in the process of trying to figure out who they are. They may have left oppressive environments such as families of origin, romantic partnerships, friendships, and business and spiritual organizations.

This work may involve grieving lost years, getting to know yourself, and learning how to live with your new-found identity. You may find you need support for managing others’ reactions to your new way of being. You can know who you are, figure out what you want, and feel confident in the path you take. I hope to walk this journey with you!
