About
The most difficult times are often the ones we give ourselves. Our struggles can be made worse when we listen to the unkind self-judgement from our inner critic. Working as a team we will use a mindfulness based approach to develop greater acceptance and insight into your thoughts and behaviors. Self harm, suicide ideation, troubling relationships with your peers, your family, and food, anxiety, OCD, panic attacks and other challenges can be sensitively explored. I strive to maintain a genuine, validating and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where teens and young women can increase their confidence, courage and self-esteem.
Counseling can help you become more compassionate and kinder towards yourself and those around you. I want you to learn skills to accept the unhelpful thoughts and feelings that can overwhelm and discourage you. Let's discover just how amazing and strong you really are and the abilities you have that are unique and special, while being true to your values.
I love working with young women and am inspired and awed by all that you are and dream of being. Middle School and High School years can be painful and leave you feeling bad about yourself and full of self doubt. Transitioning into college or work after school can be scary and intimidating. I care about you and am ready when you are. Call me and we can talk.
