As a licensed clinical social worker, I help individuals with a range of life challenges. I view therapy as a collaborative process between therapist and client focused on exploring your concerns in an honest, active, and effective manner. Therapy involves sharing your thoughts and feelings, shedding light on and understanding relational and behavioral patterns, and reflecting on how past experiences may impact you now.
Within the context of our work together, I listen, ask clarifying questions, reflect, and offer feedback. I may encourage you to examine long held beliefs and suggest new approaches and ways of thinking in an effort to facilitate change and to assist you with reaching your goals. When working with children, these exchanges often take the form of play.
