What do all those therapist letters actually mean? If you’ve been scanning these profiles and wondering about LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, SUDP, CCTP, or CMHS—you’re not alone. LMHC (mental health), LICSW (person + systems), LMFT (relationships), SUDP (substance use). An “A” means Associate—newer, supervised, often with fresh training. Psychologists do assessments such as adhd; psychiatrists prescribe.
The letters matter far less than the relationship: feeling safe, understood, and genuinely connected is what actually makes therapy work. Give me a call for a free 15 minute consult and you can see if I feel like a good fit.
I am a warm, empathic, and gently challenging counselor. I tailor therapy to you as a unique individual. My clients come to me because they enjoy the deep sense of trust, safety and mutual respect that I create.
My training includes in depth specialist courses for work with trauma. As well as training and education to work with the LGBTQIA community.
I am an LGBTQIA+ aware and anti-racist therapist. I welcome diversity including all races, body sizes, abilities, sexualities, genders, and religions. I recognize cultural oppression and its role in psychological trauma passed down through generations. I commit to listening without judgement and learning from my client with sensitivity and humility.
