About
I understand how difficult it is to feel anxious, sad, or depressed and how those feelings can impact how you view yourself and your relationships. Psychotherapy is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with someone who supports and guides you while encouraging insight, growth, and groundedness. Through 12+ years as a clinical social worker in pediatric and adult settings, I have extensive experience in the ways stress shows up in our lives. We partner together to address your concerns and therapeutic goals. My style is collaborative, warm, and attentive, and I often utilize humor in my work.
I am passionate about and specialize in helping teenagers and adults live fully with medical conditions, including cancer, diabetes, and rheumatologic disease. Building empowerment, living in the present, processing feelings associated with one’s health status, and finding healthy coping strategies greatly enhances healing and wellness.
I work to create a safe space rooted in empathy, compassion, and connectedness to ensure a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist. You can expect me to ask questions, encourage reflection of your strengths, and provide tools that meet your unique needs and circumstances.
