I view the counseling process as forming a trusting relationship with you to explore the nature of who you are, why you are, & the nature of the problems you face. I use an eclectic approach including a variety of counseling theories to meet individual needs. I believe there is purpose in behavior which is shaped by positive, negative, and traumatic experiences. Throughout the counseling process we will explore how negative thoughts & experiences have reinforced the perception of oneself & worldview, and how to replace negative thinking patterns/behaviors to increase self-worth leading to fulfilling relationships and connections.
My experience in child welfare has driven my passion for working with children, adolescents, and adults as it relates to previous & current trauma, attachment, and relationship issues. Also specializing in anxiety, depression, grief/loss, adjustment, and other areas of concern. I have the experience and knowledge to work with children age 5 to adults.
I am passionate about helping individuals determine or rediscover their values and beliefs which create their true authentic self, as my work is grounded in empathy, non-judgement, and inclusivity.
