Liz is a clinical social worker with specialties working with pregnant and parenting folks, as well as young children and their families and knows welcoming a new baby to the family comes with a host of challenges and changes: from hormonal shifts and changes in our brains and bodies to changes in employment, lifestyle, relationships, and reflecting on our own experiences of being parented. She is highly experienced in working with pregnant, birthing, postpartum, and parenting folks with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders—or just struggling with the changes in demands, identity, and daily structure.
Liz is endorsed by the New York State Association for Infant Mental Health and has extensive experience supporting and enhancing the relational development of 0 to 5-year-olds and their families. She is also highly experienced in working with neurodivergent children and their parents, from early identification through educational advocacy.
Liz uses observation, curiosity, and humor to help you improve your own reflective capacity, to understand yourself and the journey you’ve been on. Her approach to treatment is rooted in psychodynamics, feminist theory, and from a psychosocial, relational, and developmental framework.
