As a first-generation Latina, having lived between Mexico and the U.S., I understand the complexities and barriers of living between two cultures, and the obstacles many individuals of marginalized groups face in our society. I consider myself informed on systemic oppression, multicultural and social justice issues, and an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.
