I am a bilingual/bicultural Spanish/English speaking therapist. Born in Long Island and raised in Puerto Rico. I have been working for 32 years with children, teens and adults with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar, autistic and children /adults within spectrum disorder, grief, ADHD and am an ally for the LGBTQIA+ community. I am trained in EMDR therapy (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing).
I have a unique perspective of an individual's struggle with barriers related to Language, Religion and Culture, having been raised within the Hispanic culture in Puerto Rico.
Throughout my career I have worked as a Psychiatric Social worker in area hospitals, as a Social Worker in prevention services with children and their families who were in the foster care system as well as a clinician with dialysis patients on an outpatient basis.
