My time as a therapist has been spent working with people aged 6 to 65 navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, family stress, post-traumatic stress disorder. Sharing your journey requires a feeling of safety and my approach to therapy is emotion focused and collectivist, with the aim of creating an environment that allows you and I to explore your experiences with authenticity.
I have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and I am a psychology resident supervised by Dr. Shaun Davis. I have done couples therapy, family therapy (including transracial adoption families), and individual therapy with people from many cultural backgrounds. I welcome all. As a black therapist I enjoy creating space for BIPOC clients to feel safe.
I have a special place in my heart for immigrant families as an immigrant myself.
