Lisa Wolcott, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Gainesville
Depression, anxiety, low self-worth, grief, relationship problems and apprehension about change -- all these issues can be helped with psychotherapy. As an experienced clinician, my job is to work with you to create a safe environment for change, identify the obstacles to change, increase awareness, and create a plan with you for moving forward into the life you wish to create. My style is contemplative, supportive, insightful, and gently challenging.
I am results-oriented and work hard to create a genuine partnership with you for transformation. A good match between client and therapist is essential, so I encourage you to meet with me to see if we're a good fit for your needs. I look forward to meeting you.

Lisa Wolcott's Groups

Psychotherapy Groups

I run psychotherapy groups on various issues including interpersonal skills, trauma, and self esteem. Group is an excellent adjunct to ongoing individual therapy, offering the client and therapist an "in vivo" experience in the particular interpersonal struggles the client is having. Clients who enter into the group process often move through obstacles more quickly than with individual therapy alone, enjoying deeper satisfaction in their relationship with themselves and with others. For this reason, I love facilitating the group process and often recommend group to appropriate clients.
