Hi, I'm Lisa and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have extensive experience in helping clients manage and work through anxiety, depression, breakups/divorce, grief and loss, and a bunch of other things that life throws our way. I view counseling as a partnership between the therapist and the client, and my goal is always to support clients in strengthening their relationship with themselves.
After spending a few minutes going through the informed consent and administrative stuff, I spend the first session with clients exploring what brings them to therapy, what they hope to accomplish, and how would they know if things were somehow better.
One of my strengths is helping clients find better ways to communicate with themselves. This means understanding, disputing, and filtering out that negative self-talk that often keeps us from moving forward in life.
