My name is Lisa Weisbaum, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’m the therapist you seek out when life gets "lifey". You are not supposed to know how to tackle life’s transitions on your own. I give you a place to start and a path forward. I work with individuals, families, or teens struggling with life adjustments, changes in family dynamics (new parents), symptoms of anxiety, depression, and unresolved trauma history. Family therapy helps all members feel heard and understood. It improves communication and resolves conflicts.
My therapeutic style is engaging and empathetic with a direct approach so we can uncover the reasons people stay stuck. I utilize cognitive behavioral interventions to create impactful, long-lasting change.
Therapy is a supportive and collaborative process. I work together with a client to feel confident in looking inward for the answers, recognize when they are over thinking, and identify what is harmful. My communication style is engaging and empathetic, with a direct approach.
