As an eclectic therapist, I avoid rigidity in therapeutic methods. My expertise is in cognitive behavioral therapy, which employs thought and action for healing, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy, which incorporates mindfulness into therapy. I employ solution-focused techniques within cognitive behavioral frameworks to assist clients in reaching their objectives.
I work with those struggling with depression or anxiety but also specifically with clients feeling distress over prolonged or acute grief, either by a loved one or the loss of a beloved pet. I also specialize in helping those who need healing during or after being in a narcissistic abuse situation.
Goal setting in the therapeutic setting is not a rigid process but is outlined for clarity after two to three sessions. It takes a few sessions to get to know what each client needs and wants in life and what ideas they may have or resonate with to achieve the goals they choose to work on.
