Hello, I'm glad you are here! Much of my clinical experience has been working with individuals and families impacted by challenging life events, whether it be a one-time problematic experience or generational. Sometimes there isn't an identified traumatic event or 'reason' one might be feeling stuck, anxious or sad. Many folks are simply seeking a therapist that will collaboratively work with them to improve overall well-being while learning to recognize and further develop their strengths. I want to help people understand why they do what they do and learn to trust themselves, develop healthy reasoning, and adaptability.
I have experience working with children, adolescents. young adults, midlife and beyond. My clinical focus is on women's health issues, mood disorders, disordered eating and trauma. I recognize the necessity for evidence based practice and take into account the biological, psychological, social, and cultural components impacting emotions and behaviors.
