I am Lisa Umanita, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years of experience in the field. I am a passionate and compassionate practitioner who has had the privilege of working with a diverse population facing mental health issues, assisting individuals from ages 20 to 90 in overcoming their unique challenges and achieving their realistic goals toward wellness. I specialize in anxiety, depression, transitional stressors and adjustments, loss, LGBT issues, relational problems, and stress management.
I completed my master’s degree at Boston University, and throughout my career, I have had an insatiable desire to continue learning and finding the most efficient and effective modalities of therapy. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), schema therapy, positive therapy, and strengths perspective therapy.
