We all face challenging and overwhelming times in our lives. These include realizing we are unhappy with life as it is, the concern we'll never be able to live the life we want in order to be happy, stress, grief and loss, unresolved trauma, as well as other issues. I strongly believe that it is not what is wrong with us, it is what happened to us that creates the struggles we have. I use an eclectic, integrated approach to treatment that fits the unique needs of each client. I offer a safe, supportive environment and consider it an honor to work with clients toward healing and achieving the changes they want to make.
I specialize in trauma resolution, PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, grief and relationship issues. My approach is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy and I am an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy for the treatment of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and other issues.
I have worked in the mental health field for over twenty years, in private practice, hospital, and treatment center settings. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in Texas. I also hold an LPC-Mental Health Service Provider license in Tennessee, an LPC license in Louisiana, and an LPC license in Colorado. I work with adults ages 21 and older.
