Often, life gets away from us before we realize how quickly things have changed. Life is a process of personal growth and evolution. It is also a process of building and maintaining relationships with people in a world that is constantly in flux. In my Individual Therapy and Family Therapy practice, I focus on partnering with you to explore challenges around interpersonal relationships, behavioral problems, sexual identity and behaviors, self-esteem, core beliefs/values, and many other aspects of life.
In counseling, I also incorporate techniques from a variety of theoretical orientations, placing an emphasis on collaboration and client-identified goals. I explore with clients how emotional and psychological obstacles from the past and in the present interfere with attaining goals and optimal day-to-day functioning.
As the poet Khalil Gibran said, "To get to the dawn of a new day, you must first pass through the darkness of a night." It is actually during these times of great hardship that individuals find great rewards. I use a flexible, eclectic, and highly individualized approach to my work.
