I'm Lisa Salopek, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30+ years of clinical training, education, and experience. I help individuals with challenges such as anxiety, depression, aging, women's issues, relationship issues, and more. I primarily utilize the concepts of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in addition to specific trauma and anxiety treatment modalities such as EMDR and EFT to honor your background and culture and help you work toward where YOU want to go in your life.
In session, I work hard to be tuned in to you, your life, and your concerns. Prior to our session, I review your goals and what we have previously discussed. I expect that you will feel safe and cared for while we are meeting. I want us to laugh at ourselves while loving ourselves. One of my mottos is, "Those who laugh at themselves are never bored."
In our first session, I want you to feel safe and comfortable with me. I will ask you about your goals and obtain a brief history of important aspects of your life.
