My name is Dr. Lisa Root. As of January 2021, I will be seeing patients in Alaska and in Guam. I do telepsych for AK, as I live in Guam. My specialty is trauma, family, and individual therapy. I am taking new patients and I also have a passion for working with children. I utilize solution-focused therapy and cognitive behavior therapy. Please don't worry about the time zone difference. I schedule AK around my practice in Guam and continue to add new patients each week.
I have specialized in the following area's grief, trauma, gender orientation, child therapy and Christ Centered Principals. My greatest desire is to bring each individual into perfect alignment to their individual call and purpose in life. I work intensively with PTSD, grief, death and dying.I will be adding EMDR to my practice shortly.
Unique factors: I do work with role identification, gender, sexuality, and multigender specific issues. My desire is to see individuals function at their best potential.
