We all have a story to tell. In my 20+ years of counseling individuals and couples, I’ve had the honor of hearing many stories that exhibit the strength of individuals healing from grief, injustice, trauma and chronic illness. I’ve been inspired by the resiliency of the human spirit and the hopefulness that inevitably develops as the narrative of one’s life unfolds. It can be a painful process but one that yields great rewards as we gain understanding of what our story has to tell us about our past and helps us to plan for our future.
My approach is psychodynamic but I utilize a variety of techniques to facilitate healing. I’ve been trained in EMDR with certification pending, co-facilitated DBT skills groups and have been certified as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. In my experience, a combination of these approaches are effective ways of eliciting healing and change.
