My therapy style is friendly, collaborative & directive. One size never fits all so I integrate different treatment approaches to meet your needs. In therapy we explore: Who am I? What is my backstory? How am I wired? How do I navigate the world? Many of my clients are students at The College of William & Mary. Common presenting issues include college transition, perfectionism, worry, anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, self-esteem, identity and neurodiversity. Regardless of your presenting concerns, I want to help you feel more comfortable living your most authentic life.
I have 25 years experience specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. It takes a lot of courage to consider changing one's relationship with food, exercise and body image. In therapy, we will explore toxic diet culture messages to help let go of food guilt & body shame. I will introduce intuitive eating priciples to support full ED recovery.
Pointe Counseling is within easy walking distance from Colonial Williamsburg and the campus of William & Mary. I provide individual therapy and employ a coordinated, multidisciplinary team approach coordinating with nutritionists, physicians/pediatricians, psychiatrists, family members, and school resources, as appropriate.
