I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in San Diego, California, and have been in the mental health field for 25 years. Life can be filled with struggles, emotional pain, and unexpected challenges. On an average day, it can be difficult to navigate and on overwhelming days, we can be left feeling hopeless, helpless, and stuck. Please believe me that there is hope! Old wounds can be healed, unhealthy patterns can be changed and life can be fulfilling.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to helping clients. I believe in the power of creating a safe, supportive space where we can explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment.
I find that being authentic, down to earth, and relaxed with my clients is the best way to be. I embrace a straightforward, direct communication style with a focus on empathy and humor (when appropriate). I know when to sit back, actively listen, and offer stillness, and also when to speak up, offer guidance, and suggest tools and interventions.
