First, I want to commend you on taking the first step toward therapy. Sometimes that first step is very difficult, so I want to acknowledge your bravery. Finding the right therapist can feel very daunting, so you are right to consider your options. I have been a clinical counselor for over 20 years, and I have worked with a variety of clients dealing with a variety of issues. I work with individuals ages 18 and up who are struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, anger, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and life transitions.
My goal is to provide a safe environment and build trust with my clients so that we can collaborate and work toward positive change. Change is hard, but can be very rewarding. I enjoy building on clients' existing strengths and helping them develop new coping skills so that they can achieve their therapeutic goals.
