Sometimes parenting feels traumatic, and you are tired of feeling alone. I help parents understand their child's most frustrating, confusing, and overwhelming behaviors while also guiding them to experience more confidence and regulation. My theoretical paths include trauma-informed, attachment-based, and somatic. I practice somatic touch, which effectively facilitates regulation in a person's nervous system. It is hard to change the way we parent even if we know what to do. I provide the practical resources and support that you need.
I would describe my approach with one word; relational. I am an in-the-trenches type of family therapist who walks with parents through difficult stages of their children's lives, holding the hope that changes are possible. I want children, young adults and parents to feel more ease, understanding, support, and confidence.
I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults, couples and families. While individual therapy can be transformative, I believe significant change can occur when working with the whole family.
