Lisa Marie Petrongelli, PsyD, MSN, APRN-BC, FPA's Groups
Anna's Embrace, Grief and Loss Sharing Group
The goal of Anna's Embrace is to bring forth the universality of pain and to support women (18 years and older) affected by the loss of a loved one. As a group, we will experience grief, identify it, deal with it, and place it on a shelf within each of our lives. Compartmentalizing emotions allows for growth. No pain is any greater or more profound than any other, what a woman feels can give her the ability to help bring about the recovery of individuals whose hurts are both similar to and vastly different from her own.
Bee Mindfull - Group Therapy Exclusively for Women
Dr. Petrongelli concentrates on treatment topics with respect to concerns that are primarily women’s. Mindfullness topics include: self-observation of thoughts/feelings, learn senses of change/support, relaxation/biofeedback techniques, reduce senses of isolation. Women who are experiencing some of the following issues may find this group beneficial: Anxiety, Relationship/Communication difficulties, Depression, Anger Management, Grief/Loss, Trauma, Parenting, Physical Abuse, and Levels of Recovery/Addiction. Group sessions are structured on concepts of CBT and DBT therapies. Group participants will need to be evaluated for readiness prior to participation. Members are required to commit to an 8-week group program and complete Informed Consent.
