They say that life should have purpose, and for the past 27 years working as a Marriage and Family Therapist has been mine. My approach is eclectic because everyone is an individual so my work is tailored to you and your specific needs, though I do practice cognitive behavioral therapy (what you think is what you feel) solution focused therapy and a holistic approach of mind, body and spirit teaching proper nutrition (certified weight management specialist) and yoga (certified yoga instructor) as a form of spirituality helping you to get centered and find balance in this hectic world of responsibilities and stressors.
Some of my areas of specialty include eating disorders working at Silver Hill hospital and The Renfrew Center. I also have years of experience treating substance abuse (Director of a substance abuse clinic) and a myriad of other mental health issues and life transitions including: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, divorce, and couples counseling.
