I feel called to mental health counseling. I believe that all humans experience suffering in their lives, and I find it helps to have some level of trust and validation in order to assist with the healing process. I enjoy helping people to find themselves, to honor and experience their full range of emotions, to increase their understanding of themselves, and to promote healthy self-worth and emotional accountability. Whether your need is for short-term solutions and coping skills, or a greater understanding of self for greater contentment in your life, I am interested in helping people learn and grow to be their best selves!
I am an eclectic therapist, recognizing the value in many different means of counseling. I believe all clients have unique needs! I enjoy person-centered "talk" therapy, but also enjoy teaching and providing feedback as a means of self-growth. I utilize MIndfulness Based approaches as well, CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I congratulate you on looking for ways to improve yourself or your current situation. This can be an intimidating first step! Just know that meaningful change can take time and can sometimes be difficult too. Feel free to contact me to schedule an initial session. Let's see how I may be able to help!
