I am a licensed clinical social worker in Bethesda, MD and have provided psychotherapy to individuals and families since 2009. My approach is warm, direct, and engaging with an emphasis on building trust and using the therapeutic relationship as a medium for change. I strive to create a space to explore patterns in relationships, emotional expression, and practicing new ways of being.
My areas of expertise include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, attachment disorders, and family discord. I have a special interest in working with families with a history of disordered eating. I use a combination of therapeutic approaches with an emphasis on emotion focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems theory.
Please give me a call if you are interested in learning more about therapy and how it can have a positive impact on your life.

Groups
Women's Self-Compassion Group
This is a ten-week group designed to help women (ages 25 and older) find self compassion through personal growth, using their own creativity and self-expression. Through exploration of interpersonal relationships, group members will become more aware of their emotional experience and how it affects their beliefs about themselves and the world. Women in this group can expect to discuss themes relating to values, identity, body image and body empathy, and relationship patterns. This group is co-facilitated with my colleague, Julie Mitchell.
