As a clinical social worker and psychodynamic psychotherapist, I often hear, "I know what I need to do to feel better, but I just can't seem to make myself do what I should." Change isn't always straightforward. Knowing on an intellectual level doesn't mean that it makes sense emotionally. I support your exploration, without judgment, to illuminate stepping stones through the bog that once seemed impassable. At your pace, on your terms, I can help you to cultivate greater insight and navigate through the pain and suffering.
My work has been enriched by the extensive study at the Ph.D. level at Smith College School for Social Work, a fellowship at the Center for Psychodynamic Studies, as well as the completion of a two-year doctoral internship at the Montrose Center, a progressive mental health agency leading practice with an affirming stance on LGBTQI issues and diversity.
I am happy to offer private psychotherapy sessions in Montrose, the heart of Houston, or in the Cypress suburbs through an electronic venue or in person, according to your preference.
