Coming to therapy takes courage, and you have already taken the first step by even reading my profile. While this process can seem overwhelming, my goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental and warm setting to help you navigate issues in your life. I work with a wide-range of age-groups. I have spent 28 years working with adolescents who have mental disorders ranging from ADHD to Psychosis. I also have extensive expertise working with adults who are experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, life-changes, relationship issues and aging.
My approach to working with a client is to build a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship. I meet you where you are at and follow your lead. I offer a space space to explore your narrative and practical strategies for managing what has brought you to therapy.
My communication style is best described as open, non-judgmental, and supportive. I can also be direct, candid, and straightforward. I do a lot of active listening and will once again follow the lead of my client.
