Are you ready to take ownership over your healing from past hurts? Feel willing to work towards change to create the life you want? I enjoy working with teens and adults who are ready and willing to work towards change, who take the lead in the healing process and recognize that I, as a therapist, can provide tools, but they must do the hard work of using these tools if they want to grow and to heal. It is rewarding to teach clients skills to help them manage their emotions in difficult times, and to help clients figure out which skills are most effective for them. I work with individual clients as well as families and couples.
I am trained in and utilize many different therapeutic models and techniques (primarily CBT, DBT, Intergenerational family therapy, and EMDR). I have found EMDR to be a very effective treatment to help clients heal past traumas. This method can help to resolve unhelpful thoughts and memories related to attachment difficulties, affective disorders, and PTSD.
If you are suffering, I want to help. I will walk with you on your journey of healing until you get to the place you want to be. Working in therapy can help clients discover the strengths they already have and how they can use these strengths to further their growth and healing.
