Hello, my name is Lisa Parker. I work with individuals, couples, and families. My approach to counseling is warm and friendly. I believe in person-centered therapy. This means that together, we work through whatever you bring to the session.
My specialties include grief and loss, depression and anxiety, sexual abuse, and complex trauma. I also work with families during the transition of adding new children (biological or adopted). These are very hard and heavy subjects. Because of that, it's important to find a therapist with whom you feel comfortable.
I believe strongly in the therapeutic relationship. My goal is for each client to feel heard and understood as they work through the issues they bring to counseling. My approach is to come alongside each client and meet them where they are. I custom tailor my modality depending on the needs of the individual.
