I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in the treatment of mental health disorders, emotional difficulties, relationship struggles, and overall life challenges. My goal in therapy is to provide a safe place where there is unconditional positive regard and free from judgement, so you can share your story and feel heard and understood. I believe therapy should help foster personal growth and development, eliminate or mitigate feelings of distress, increase self-esteem and openness to experiences, and enhance the client's understanding of him/herself.
I use an integrative approach that derives from Person Centered, Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral, and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. For relationship issues within couples, I refer a lot to the teachings and research from the Gottman Method and Imago Therapy.
Each client is unique and therefor you should expect a tailored treatment plan that will provide the best possible solution to address the areas or behaviors you seek to change. I will challenge you at times and will stress the importance of homework and self-practice in between sessions, all for your benefit. I will work in collaboration with you!
