About
I work with adults of all ages and specialize in working with young adults, and those experiencing challenges related to stress, identity, adjustment, and self-esteem. I have expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, academic problems, and relationship difficulties. My clients seek a safe space to talk about the emotions and challenges they are experiencing. In particular they want to be listened to, valued and to gain increased understanding about their current and past experiences. Ultimately, clients want to gain clarity about their goals, and feel hopeful, insightful, effective, and confident.
I focus on building a positive therapeutic relationship, and understanding the perspective, strengths, and current and past experiences of each person. We identify goals, and collaborate in making progress toward these goals while increasing your self-awareness. I use an approach that incorporates psychodynamic, cognitive, and behavioral components.
Everyone experiences emotional challenges, and counseling is a great way to understand these difficulties and make positive changes in your life. I will attend to you as a unique, whole person and focus on enhancing your wellness. I look forward to exploring your strengths and struggles as you work toward optimal functioning now and in the future.
