About
I have 25 years of experience working with individuals, families and children. We all have struggles in life. I personally believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. Every person's struggle presents an opportunity to make life changes. Sometimes it's hard to determine which road to take or even how to carry on in life. Good support and a therapist who accepts you with respect and dignity, presents as non-judgmental and objective, can help you clarify your needs, goals, and wants. You will move forward and figure out how to become your best self. Then, you can learn to use some of these techniques yourself!
First, I listen. Then, I offer techniques to help. I specifically use EMDR and CBT. These are scientifically proven programs that work well with trauma, depression, anxiety, and other symptoms. EMDR is great for trauma because you don't have to revisit all the details, "just the headlines". It works for children, youth, and adults.
I am eager to meet you and I'm certain that we can build a great working relationship. If it's your first time going to a therapist, it can be hard. Trust is the most important part. Please, feel free to call me and ask questions to determine if YOU think we can work together. Leave a message and I will call you back, usually within 24 hours.
