Schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders are my area of specialty. I offer one-on-one therapy, family therapy, parenting therapy, and a group therapy called Living with Schizophrenia. The social services many clients benefit from (social workers, psychiatrists, etc.) are often difficult to find, and I collaborate with families, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and others to help you figure out what you need and how to get it. I also provide support for the emotional costs of the illness and help clients learn skills to manage their symptoms. Sessions are usually fully covered by insurance.
I have 22 years' experience working with people with schizophrenia disorders. I use a friendly, non-judgmental style. I often focus on skills in areas such as symptom recognition, symptom management, social skills, & work skills. I also help people through the depression, grief, and stress that can accompany the illness.
I really enjoy working with people with these disorders. I run one of the few therapy groups in the Twin Cities with an exclusive focus on schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders. One of my passions is educating clients about how to manage their illness and improve their lives.

Living with Schizophrenia
A group for people with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders to learn skills such as symptom management, assertiveness, social skills, emotional skills, and work skills, Living with Schizophrenia also provides clients with the opportunities to support each other and to meet others who have similar disorders. Cost is typically covered by insurance.
