My practice is centered around the idea that everyone has a story to tell, and that by sharing and thinking about these stories they can reach the understanding of themselves they've been looking for. The goal of therapy is to make the unconscious conscious, as Freud said, and by looking at the narrative of your life we can gain an understanding of the issues you face, how they have come about, and how you can address them in order to lead a fuller, more mindful and meaningful life.
I have an open and creative approach that helps in accessing emotions, one that's based in psychodynamic methodology. Simply put, this means getting beneath the surface of things, whether it's to deal with issues like parenting; family; postpartum; sexuality & sexual identity; relationships; career; depression; trauma & PTSD; anxiety; or grief & loss.
