I have a very large tool bag to help you move through a variety of issues. I have the equivalent of a minor in elementary education, child psychology and developmental psychology. I changed majors to Social Work and feel my added skills of psychology and education give me a different edge than a lot of counselors in the field. I work with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, military veteran's and the entire family. I work with many diagnosis's to find a solution together which suits you best in personal growth. Although I work with a multitude of issues, I specialize in working with PTSD (trauma), attachment trauma, disregulation and grief. All ages of trauma and grief. I use EMDR for all age groups. It even helps with anxiety and stress, not just trauma. I have a trauma informed approach to all sets of issues.
Coming to a counselor for the first time can be scary, even if you've had counseling previously. To put you at ease the initial session I tend to use humor to help build the therapeutic relationship. Seeing your problems through your eye's is important to me and the therapeutic relationship being grounded in trust and safety as well.
