I'm an individual and couples therapist. Individually, I help people feel and show up better in their lives, by understanding and shifting what's blocking optimal functioning. Sadness, worry, fear, anger or general discontentment can bring people in. I help couples do the same thing around the dynamics in their relationship, often reflected in disconnection, poor communication, resentment and loss of a collaborative spirit. I am direct, curious, compassionate and work well with men or women. I am a great potential fit for those suspecting their pasts are negatively impacting the present in some way. Or those in life transitions.
My specialty is family of origin work and how early experiences informed you, or your relationship. We will look at core belief systems (I am lovable vs unlovable, People can be trusted vs not trusted, etc.) and how they came to be. With couples, we look at how what you learned about relationships shows up in your relationship now, perhaps unproductively.
