I appreciate your interest in my practice. Together we will set goals and work towards reaching them in a safe and comfortable environment. In addition to treating adults, working extensively with children, adolescents and families allows me to help you navigate any social, emotional, or behavioral issues that you are facing. My specialties include anxiety, depression, social concerns (including dealing with social media), academic matters, self-esteem issues, acting out behaviors and parent counseling. Although parenting can be difficult, learning strategies to deal with the day-to-day struggles will make your life easier.
In addition to therapy, I conduct a full spectrum of psychological and educational evaluations to assess intellectual and academic functioning, learning disabilities, social, emotional and behavioral concerns that are affecting a person's overall adjustment and school functioning. I also assess for Kindergarten readiness and talented and gifted programs.
As a school psychologist of over 20 years focusing on special education, I can help you navigate the school system by attending CSE meetings, deciphering evaluations and IEPs. The transition to college can be very challenging. I also specialize in giving teens the skills they need to succeed as they struggle with their newfound independence.
