I practice individualized, solution focused therapy using an eclectic array of techniques to assist the person in regaining and maintaining an optimum level of functioning. My areas of expertise are in treating people with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, and substance abuse issues. I am versed in divorce mediation. In addition, I am knowledgeable regarding the struggle adult children are having caring for elderly parents and offer consultation in exploring appropriate alternatives and managing the emotional distress associated with such decisions.

My clinical skill comes from my ability to join with my client in a safe and therapeutic manner, using an eclectic approach based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I assist the person in finding a solution/ direction which best meets his/her needs.

Weekly skills training group to learn, practice and master the skills of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which has been proven to be effective treatment for anxiety, depression, personality conflicts and early recovery of substance use disorders. Group is currently being offered online and will return to my location once the national emergency has resolved. Please call or email me with questions and interest. Early Recovery Substanc Use Group

This is a newly forming group. During the national emergency, the group will be held via teletherapy. Once we are able to assembly in groups larger than 5, It will move to my office in Watertown. This will be a mixed, open group for people in early recovery from substance use. It will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy components to support the recovery process.
