I'm from East Los Angeles; fluent in Spanish (hablo espanol). I'm an army veteran who is a bit nerdy and likes metal. I enjoy working with adults and teenagers- especially people from diverse backgrounds, non-conformists, and those who have trauma histories (sexual, religious, military, gangs, etc.). I became interested in psychology after being "in the system" as a kid and not getting adequate help.
I believe everyone has potential, and life does not have to be terrible because of what others did or did not do. I have experience helping those with depression, trauma, body dysmorphia, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorders, stress, family problems, and more. However, the focus will be on you as a whole person with a unique background and strengths.
I utilize narrative, feminist, and cognitive behavioral therapies with a non-judgmental humanistic approach as well as humor.
