About

Experiencing anxiety and depression, addictions, trauma, interpersonal relationships, and the emotional impact of being part of a chaotic family dynamic are common but no less important and still difficult to experience. My approach and passion to therapy is integrative and I draw from therapeutic perspectives including Psychodynamic theory with a relational approach, incorporating Mindfulness and DBT interventions. I am a bilingual and bicultural therapist, born in Mexico and with over 20 years of experience in Clinical Psychology in Mexico and USA, I am intensely engaged with the Latinx community providing therapy and education.
I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College, a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and a Specialization in Addictions in Mexico City as well as my Bachelor’s degree with honors. I am certified in Mind Body Medicine and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Liora Schneider's Groups

Adult Children of Chaotic Families

Children of chaotic families have been physically and/or emotionally neglected by their parents. They are usually parentified (do things which pertain to adults) and feel dismissed. Chaotic families are composed by one or more members with addiction, chronic mental illness, physical mental illness and/or controlling behaviors. Coming from an environment of a family with complicated dynamics has an impact in adult interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, productivity, and self-confidence. With our group you will learn how to set boundaries, establish healthy relationships, validate and manage difficult emotions and will be able to establish intimate emotional relationships.
