Throughout my clinical experience, I've developed a real passion for working with young women, women, and fellow therapists. I tend to work best with those who have experienced trauma, grief & loss, pregnancy & fertility issues, and those in the healing/helping professions. Each person's narrative is so unique and important, and I consider it a great privilege to help folks shift their narratives from ones of struggle & hurt to ones of strength & growth.
I have received advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), which can be very effective for treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, and other common issues. Dependent upon client needs, I may also weave in other evidenced-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
While it is important to use effective modalities, I'm also a firm believer that within the context of therapy, a healthy & trusting therapeutic relationship is the catalyst for change. Reaching out to a complete stranger to address your worries, traumas, grief, & life changes can feel daunting initially, but it feels less "scary" with someone you trust.
