I graduated from UTK College of Social Work and have a varied background, including working in community mental health, residential facilities, and private practice. I work with my clients using a strengths-based approach, incorporating humor and empathy in sessions to improve comfort and instill trust, fostering a collaborative relationship. I enjoy working with a variety of populations, including couples, individuals, and families, and I specialize in parenting, life adjustments, mood disorders, anxiety/panic, and relational stressors.
For me, the therapeutic relationship with my clients is of the utmost importance and I believe that through connection and exploration, there is great room for growth, vulnerability and change.
I will work with you to develop goals, learn how to curb unhealthy thoughts, work through communication barriers and help you gain the tools you need to feel more in control of yourself and your emotions. I use a variety of evidence-based modalities tailored to each client’s best fit in a person-centered and humanistic approach.
