Have you felt disconnected, misunderstood, and isolated? Do you feel as though you have lost touch with yourself and, by extension, others? I support teens and adults to develop a deeper understanding of the roots of their struggles, whether they surface as anxiety, trauma responses, depression, or relational distress. I use the therapeutic space to shed light on where we may be getting in our own way and what pieces of our past may be keeping us stuck. By increasing understanding of the self, we are better able to recognize more adaptive ways to cope with life's stresses that work for our unique, individual hearts and minds.
My approach to therapy emphasizes the healing relationship, because we can only heal and grow when we feel both safe and secure. I combine pieces of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with Emotion-Focused Therapy to provide tangible skills and interventions while addressing underlying attachment wounds that show up in how we relate to others and to the self.
